In 2006, Shaw, and his colleague Guy Slater founded the Streamline Surgical partnership. The concept was to bring together the expertise required for the provision of top-quality Bariatric surgery services. The service could then be offered to patients directly, or to hospitals requiring Bariatric services.

Since it's inauguration, Streamline Surgical has grown to encompass 12 surgeons working in 9 centres, with over 20 clinical support staff. The practice continues to grow despite the current economic environment.
